Women in Greek Civilization were treated differently than women nowadays.

They have no power, no says, no rights and some of them were treated as a prostitute especially the non citizens.

Their status were elevated if they were proven capable of giving birth because they need to produce an heir for the husband.

In addition, they need a legally represented guardian such as husband if they are married or father if they are not married.

Unlike women nowadays, they have rights that are beyond those days.

Some of them claim that they need no men to survive. Ridiculous!!!

They must be a reason why men are meant for a leadership role, breadwinner, etc.

I can see nowadays even in a relationship, woman has more control over man (queen control) - only some.

Girls nowadays are more fussy :

1. Nak lelaki ni la tough sikit

2. Lelaki ni la pandai menari

3. Yang ni la gila la semua benda reti buat

bla bla bla

semua benda pun nak

As a results, we (men), are trying our level best to cope with your selera.

A friend of mine went to Maratibul Muhabbah, a course that were held in Penn State last weekend to prepare students with the whole idea of marriage life.

According to him, one of the speaker said:

Lelaki balik rumah, perempuan buat 3 benda:

1. Cawan - isteri pegang cawan bagi lelaki minum bila lelaki penat dan haus

2. Rotan - suami pegang rotan bila isteri buat salah (fetish is not counted :P)

3. Selak kain- Nak puaskan lelaki selak kain. (ni hari hari pun xpe)

There you go.

Don't get me wrong. I am not trying to spark any tension between men and women or hoping women nowadays were treated exactly the same as women during Greek Civilization.

I am just hoping that women will be more thankful for what they have in life and remember decent is always the way of life.
